A fast growing pharmacogenetics and advanced toxicology testing laboratory that was integrating into a physician office and hospital system, while expanding into molecular pathology and next gen sequencing.
The Technossus team implemented a scalable, LIMS sample testing and reporting platform that was fully-integrated with customized physician partners and patients through outreach portals and hospital systems. Electronic medical records were utilized to provide greater and more seamless testing access, and to meet medical necessity requirements. This resulted in a decrease in the amount of testing errors coming from manual inefficiencies.

Implemented secure, fully integrated and tailored physician portal extension providing multiple, intuitive but structured ordering options (including phased, mini/maxi ordering) to simplify and streamline physician ordering process and patient visit management and ensure needed information is captured to meet patient testing needs, physician’s operating procedures and lab’s billing requirements.
More scalable and flexible LIMS solutions were needed to manage a fully automated and integrated testing environment with a high volume in addition to a lower volume testing environment with massive data requirements (high complexity).
Technossus implemented the Helix LIMS with a flexible and configurable push and pull, as well as integrating single piece flow and batch processing capabilities throughout system (accessioning, workflow, reporting and distribution). This allowed for unique needs of both testing environments to be solved.
Technossus also area leveraged batch processing and push workflow capabilities for high volume/low complexity testing areas, in order to create configurable workflow logic and instruments. EMR integration took place as well.
Low volume/high complexity testing areas were leveraged to create single piece flow and pull workflow capabilities and exception handling. Large data capturing and mining needs were met, fulfilling 3rd party software integration requirements.
